This also allows for lenses to be used without a “crop factor”, allowing for extremely close field of view that corresponds to the focal length of the adapted lens. What sets the Mount Adapter EF-EOS R 0.71x apart from all other adapters in the market is its full electronic compatibility between EF lenses and the RF Mount on the EOS C70. This ensures that that all forms of metadata (f number, exposure values, focal length, Dual Pixel CMOS AF & peripheral illumination correction) are passed through, allowing seamless adapting between an EF lens and a RF body. Supports Dual Pixel CMOS Auto Focus, Lens Metadata, and More on Compatible EF Lenses* The Mount Adapter EF-EOS R 0.71x provides full EF-RF lens communication including support for Dual Pixel CMOS Auto Focus, Auto Exposure and Auto Iris. With compatible EF lenses, the adapter provides the communication necessary to help control vignetting and lateral chromatic aberrations while also ensuring the accurate display of F-stop and focal length. Greater lens mount stability with Lock Plate The Mount Adapter EF-EOS R 0.71x ships with an included Lock Plate that is bolted onto the EOS C70. This results in an adapter that is mechanically secure with minimal flex and rotation, allowing for better user experience in the field. *Includes CN-E (EF cinema) lenses. Excludes RF lenses, EF-M lenses, EF-S lenses and some manual focus lenses. Canon plans to gradually expand the list of compatible lenses by providing free-of-charge firmware updates. EF lenses are still compatible with the camera, but Canon recommends that firmware updates be installed in order to effectively utilize functions which link the camera and lens.
